Description
Solid brass ball bearing hinges, in matching finishes across the Iver range. Sold individually.
Ball bearings carry weight more smoothly and quietly than a plain butt hinge, and they stop a heavy door dropping over time.
How many you need
Two hinges on a light hollow core door.
Three hinges per door leaf on anything solid, over 2040mm tall, or heavier than about 20kg. The third hinge is what prevents a door catching on the frame in two years.
These are sold singly, so order the count you actually need rather than guessing in pairs.
Matching the finish
Hinges are the most commonly mismatched item on a job. The handles get chosen carefully and the hinges end up being whatever was in the van, which shows every time the door is open.
Match the hinge finish to the handle and the job reads as considered rather than assembled.
Sizing
Standard internal doors usually take 100mm x 75mm. Heavier or wider doors may need a larger leaf. Measure the existing hinge or tell us the door size and weight and we will confirm.

Lead time
Havolka and Ookami Studio are held in stock in Palmyra at all times. Orders placed before cut off generally dispatch the same day.
Every other brand is brought in to order, generally one to two weeks depending on the supplier and the finish.

Delivery and lead times
We supply more than twenty brands, and most product is brought in to order from our suppliers. As a general guide, allow one to two weeks from order to delivery. Some ranges arrive sooner, and we will always confirm the expected timing on your order.
