Description
A morticed flush bolt in solid brass, for securing the inactive leaf of a pair of doors. In 200mm, 300mm and 400mm.
How a pair of doors works
On french or double doors, one leaf stays shut and the other does the daily work. Flush bolts hold the inactive leaf top and bottom, and the active leaf then latches into it rather than into the frame.
Fit two per inactive leaf, one at the top and one at the bottom.
Flush or surface mounted
A flush bolt is morticed into the edge of the door, so it disappears when not in use. That is the neater result on a visible door, and the reason to choose it over a surface mounted barrel bolt.
Choosing a length
Longer bolts reach further and hold a taller door more securely. On a standard 2040mm door, 200mm or 300mm is usually right. On a tall or heavy door, go to 400mm.

Note
Sold individually, so order two per inactive leaf. The bolt throws into the frame at the top and the floor at the bottom, so both need a receiving hole or a floor socket.

Lead time
Havolka and Ookami Studio are held in stock in Palmyra at all times. Orders placed before cut off generally dispatch the same day.
Every other brand is brought in to order, generally one to two weeks depending on the supplier and the finish.
