Description

The latch that makes a lever or knob work. Solid brass, in 45mm, 60mm and 70mm backsets.

What split cam means

A split cam lets each handle operate independently. Turn the inside lever and the latch retracts, turn the outside lever and it retracts, and neither drags the other round with it.

That is what you want on a normal internal door, and it is the standard latch for most Iver lever and knob sets.

Hard sprung or standard?

This is the standard spring version, which suits most internal doors and gives a lighter action in the hand.

The hard sprung version has a stronger return. Specify that where a lever is heavy, where the door gets hard use, or anywhere the handle tends to droop over time.

Choosing the backset

Backset is the distance from the door edge to the centre of the handle hole. 60mm is the most common in Australia.

On a replacement job, measure the existing latch first. If the backset does not match, the new handle will not line up with the hole already in the door.

Buying as a kit instead

Iver levers and knobs can be bought as passage, privacy or entrance kits with the correct latch already included. Unless you are replacing a latch on its own, the kit is the simpler path.

Call 1300 522 163 if you are unsure which latch the door takes.

Lead time

Havolka and Ookami Studio are held in stock in Palmyra at all times. Orders placed before cut off generally dispatch the same day.

Every other brand is brought in to order, generally one to two weeks depending on the supplier and the finish.

Working to a site date? Tell us the date before you order and we will confirm the lead time on every line, in writing. On scheduled projects we hold stock against the job so it is there when the installer is. Call 1300 522 163 or email sales@entry-point.com.au.

Delivery and lead times

We supply more than twenty brands, and most product is brought in to order from our suppliers. As a general guide, allow one to two weeks from order to delivery. Some ranges arrive sooner, and we will always confirm the expected timing on your order.

In stock, ships fast: our own ranges, Havolka and Ookami Studio, are held in stock at all times and dispatch quickly. Browse the In Stock Now collection for everything available for immediate dispatch.

Shipping

All deliveries are sent via tracked courier, Australia wide, and you will receive a tracking number once your order is fulfilled. Shipping is calculated at checkout.
